#ArabianKatufestivaali 2014

Arabian katufestivaali 2014Another Arabia Street Festival is behind me and I must say, THIS WAS THE BEST I had so far. The reason was the weather, which was awesome! This time I made a playground for my characters around a wastebasket. Thank you all for coming to speak with me, it was lots of fun! Hopefully I see you next year!

From father to son

IMG_1554 To write tags and do pieces on public property has been done since the dawn of man. Some of you like it, some of you don´t. I say, as long as you have a reason for what you do and understand your aesthetic responsibility, go for it, go out, do graffiti, do street art, make people have an opinion!

This installation is (hopefully still) on display in Suvilahti, Helsinki, at the skate park. In Suvilahti you can find the largest legal graffiti walls in Finland. This installation may also be the smallest piece made by the smallest people ever there, or maybe anywhere.

Arabian katufestivaali 2013

As I did last year I made a live installation at the Arabia street festival i Helsinki. This year the weather was awesome and alot of curious people came and took pics of me working on my installation.

It is more than nice to just sit on the street and make art, it´s the real deal street art interacting with the urban landscape.

Unfortunatelly I had not time to stay longer than I did, I would have liked to do one more installation at the festival. All in all I was really glad to participate this year too and I hope I get the chance to do it again and again.

And if any of you beautiful people have more pictures or video of me working please send it to me or comment with a link to the pics or/and video. Peace

Inspired by fantasy

Lately I have been very inspired by fantasy characters and tales. That is why my latest characters are more fantasy like. I am very eager to get new characters out on the streets but the snow is still stopping me or holding me back.

I also start to have a big pile of unpainted characters that I should paint. I am very much looking forward to painting them all. Some of them are probably for a exhibition and some are meant for the streets.

Last week I was very busy telling teens about street art and what I do. I think it was a succesful week from what I´ve heard and experienced. I just hope I inspired the youngsters to try street art in any form.

Coming up in march is a few Minimal Street Art workshops with the Helsinki City Culture Central. More about that later. Peace and love!
PS. I have 666 facebook followers, muhahahahahahaa!!!

Violent times

IMG_3974
Lately gang violence has taken three young men´s life in Dayville area alone. The police has their hands full and says that this is only the tip of the iceberg. In the press conference the police also announced that the latest event gives them even more evidence to do the biggest arrest in the history of Janacona. The police also says that they are confident that they really soon will catch those in charge of the organized crime in our town.

Min morgon tv interview (in Swedish)

Here comes the tv interview. I am the first guest so just start the clip and enjoy. If it doesn´t work outside of Finland I am sorry but then I will try to get it and put it up for you.

All in all I had a good time at the Min Morgon studio and got a great breakfast the minute I arrived. Thanks to the hostess Soxxy! Then I got a make-up on and to the interview I went. The 10 minutes of fame felt short but I felt like I gave them a pretty good picture of what I was doing.

Regarding the radio interview, I can now promise you a version of it that is listenable everywhere. Hopefully it will be sent to me today.

Minimal Street Art - Live

As I promised you I would do my next characters on the spot, baking and painting. The main plan was to make them on the streets of Helsinki but that plan did not work out due to the lack of time in Helsinki.
But now I have done it here in Vaasa. It was a very interesting project and I will definitely do it again!

The first characters I made I also filmed. As you maybe can see in the video there was some rain coming down, but that didn´t stop me.

Sun lovers

It was really easy to paint on the soft characters which I earlier had some doubts about.

Sun lovers

The paint did also dry pretty fast so I had no problem painting on the newly painted areas. My only concern was the rain.

And here comes the video of the making and baking. The video is in fast forward and still pretty long. But I hope the sweet soundtrack will keep you watching. It is made by my friend and Dj Paul M.B.

The next characters I made were at a playground inspired by the playground.

Father and daughter

Father and daughter

I am really inspired to continue making characters live on the streets. It is not as easy as making them at home but it is very fun. And I get so much inspiration from the people I see!

Something new coming up

Ciao!
It has been a while since I posted something here and now I actually will try something new. I will be making my small characters on the spot and paint them there also. I do not know if this will work but I truly hope so. The doubt I have is that I cannot paint them if the dough is too wet. so if you see a guy playing with dough and paint on the streets of Helsinki during this weekend it is probably me.

Of course I will take photos of the whole project and if it ends up as a flop I do not know what to do...

If the weather is bad (rainy) don´t come looking for me, I won´t be there.

Love you!

Teater festivalen Del 3
